Elastic alternative: There is one more option as done on some n95 masks, and we’ve allowed for this in the template but you can fold the edge of the mask over onto itself, tacking it in place with hot glue and then running the elastic through the loops that you’ve created.
Doing it this way can also allow the elastic to be more easily adjusted or replaced.
